FULL TIME STARTING END OF APRIL-DECEMBER, POTENTIAL FOR PART TIME FARM WORK OR FULL TIME FARM/CREAMERY WORK DECEMBER-APRIL
We’re hiring for a 40+ hour per week position. Farm related responsibilities will include milking, any and all care of animals, mucking out stalls, haying, cleaning milk parlor, small building projects, basic equipment maintenance, setting up and moving fencing, tending hogs, etc. This individual will work closely with the owners to manage the day to day activities of the farm. We like for everyone who works here to feel that they are part of a working team, and to have a good sense of the whole operation.
The right person for this job is passionate about sustainable food systems, enjoys working with animals, pays great attention to detail, has knowledge of or willingness to learn basic cleaning and milking sanitation practices, maintains patience and positivity whilst spending long hours in all kinds of weather, has the ability to lift 50+ lbs, possesses great communication skills, has a valid driver’s license, and is happy to work solo and with others. Some experience milking cows and operating machinery preferred.
