Certified Organic Creamery

The Milkhouse is a certified organic dairy farm in central Maine focused on low input pasture based dairy production. We milk 30-40 Jersey cows and raise some dairy steers for beef as well. We do not ship milk, but instead have an on farm creamery where we process most of our milk into yogurt and sell it throughout the state. To see more information about our farm go to mainemilkhouse.com or find us on Facebook or Instagram.

We have been running our own dairy operation since 2015 and focus heavily on intensive grazing, aiming to not feed stored forages from May to October. This production model has economic, environmental, and lifestyle benefits. Our hope is that DGA will help us connect with potential employees who are interested in this production model and that we can help educate them so they can succeed on their own farms in the future.
