Organic Dairy on Maine's Scenic Coast

Wolfe's Neck Center for Agriculture & the Envrionment is an historic 625-acre saltwater farm on the coast of Casco Bay in Freeport, Maine. A leader in nonprofit farm-based training and education, Wolfe's Neck offers summer farm camps, organic vegetable training and production, and a host of visitor programs as well as a farm store and farm café.

At the center of its certified-organic dairy program is Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship, which provides curriculum for training two to four year-round Apprentices in a brand new, state-of-the-art milking parlor and dairy barn. Apprentices live on farm and are exposed to a wide array of experiences and education.

Throughout the year Apprentices get to see and learn about the business of running a farm and interacting with other farmers, community members, and the public. This is a truly beautiful and multidimensional farm providing a very diverse and engaging experience to our Apprentices.
