HAMEAU FARM

the experience will mooove you'!

Hameau is 110 acres of 100% grass and home to a milking herd of registered Ayrshire cows. Grazing is done rotationally through 26 paddocks allowing for regrowth. Hay, for calves and winter feed, is made on the remainder of the farm. And this hay acreage can also be utilized for additional grazing in drought seasons.

Unique at Hameau is how we make the milk dollar stretch. We have 2 value-added programs that add income to the farm's bottom line. During the summers our barn doors open to include “Farm Camp”. A 6 week program for girls, ages 8-14, to be involved with the workings of a grazing dairy farm. And in the spring and fall there are Artist Retreats offering a plein air experience on a working dairy. www.hameaufarm.com

One goal/dream in the works is to become a farmstead cheese facility.
