Dairy Farm Manager
Responsibilities include:
Carry out and manage day-to-day operation under supervision of the General Manager
Ensure tasks are completed to a high standard
Train and supervise labor
Understand when maintenance and repairs are required and completion of these tasks or the arrangement of outside vendors to complete what we cannot ourselves
Accurately implement the feed program based on professional recommendations
Maintain feed and supplies needed to carry out daily operations
Maintain healthy stock, understand animal health and treatment of illnesses in dairy cattle
Weekly management meetings
Report monthly to General manager and shareholders
Requirements:
Farm management experience on a large dairy farming operation
Knowledge of farm equipment operations and maintenance
