24th Annual Vermont Grazing & Livestock Conference | Lake Morey Resort, Fairlee, VT

The 24th Annual Vermont Grazing and Livestock Conference will return to Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee, Vermont on January 17-18. The event is for farmers to learn about grazing essentials, soil health, advanced sheep and cattle genetics, pastured pork, current research and other practices - and enjoy the opportunity to network with fellow farmers.

This year’s theme is Finding Balance in a Time of Change, and the conference content will address that through presentations on specific on-farm practices, current research findings, and a focus on social sustainability. We are excited to host the New Face of Farming young farmers panel, and a chance to dig in to niche products with some creative local producers.

Keynote speaker Jason Rowntree will present Saturday, January 18, 2020 on current research findings about the role of grazing livestock in mitigating climate change and sequestering carbon on farms in the Northern US. Other workshop topics include hay field renovation, beef profitability, sheep and cattle genetics, and custom grazing.

Guests who require a disability-related accommodation to participate in this program are asked to let Jenn Colby know at (802) 535-7606 or jcolby@uvm.edu by December 30.
