Pasture Walk at the University of Missouri Foremost Dairy Farm

Come visit the newly established pasture-based dairy at the University of Missouri Foremost research farm.

The day will begin with an introduction and general description of the dairy. We then plan to tour the grazing platform and address the following topics:

• Discussion and show/tell of dry matter pasture intake for the cow
• Review Rohan and Albion perennial ryegrass varieties
• Demo and discussion of post grazing residuals
• Discussion on repro/health and genetics of the grazing cows
• Demo of PaddockTrac sonic pasture measuring device
