Martha serves as Managing Editor of Graze magazine. Her involvement in managed grazing started early as she walked the pastures in the footsteps of her parents who were pioneers in rotational grazing and grazing genetics. Martha's interest in writing started not long after. She studied journalism, agriculture and marketing in college and served as editor of her student newspaper. And she continued her involvement with her family's dairy cattle and genetics business.

She started freelance writing for Graze and other ag publications before moving into her current role. Her personal knowledge and experience in the grazing space is an asset as she brings together a wide variety of experienced graziers to share their wisdom and perspectives in the pages of Graze. Continuing the quarter-century legacy of Graze as a gathering place for graziers to swap tips and insights feels both meaningful and valuable.

When she's not working on an article or on the phone with a grazier, you can find Martha out moving her cows to fresh pasture, at an antique tractor show, or listening to an audiobook as she does chores.
