Seasonal Dairy Opportunity Available
Morning milking starts between 7-7:30 am, fence is moved, and all milking clean up and animal chores are done by 10-10:30. The remainder of the day is spent in the garden, doing seasonal work(planting, weeding, harvesting) Occasionally there is help required in the cheese aging room, and cutting and wrapping cheese for market. Depending on the personal interest and ability to follow strict cleaning protocol instruction, one may get some experience in direct cheese making. Lunch is 1 hour unpaid noon-1pm. Often had together and shared with others, but not all the time. We end the work day around 4pm everyday. Saturday milking help is needed, Sundays are usually off.
We can offer 20-50 hrs per week depending on personal interest. For example, we could hire for milking/grazing help only if a person does not have interest in garden work, or cheese making, or farmers markets.
Milking/grazing will be a minimum 18 hrs a week Mon-Sat.
Garden and other work would amount to 20-25 hrs week. Mon-Fri.
Beginning in March/April 2026, ending in Nov/Dec 2026.
